The Love story of Debra Breeze and Robert Barber

3rd Album

In Heaven's Name

Written by Robert Barber and Debra Breeze, Sung by Isidro Flores, Arranged by Debra Breeze and Sebastian Maciel, Produced by Sebastian Maciel, June 11, 2026.

In Heaven's Name

1) She's a funny girl, she likes to talk to squirrels

She's a friendly soul, it's true

And when she talks to them, I know I found a gem

She makes me feel brand new

Chorus ***

And I knew right when I met her, that things were goin' to get betta

yeah, I knew things would not be the same

She's a candle in the night

She comforts me with light

and I knew things would not be the same

In Heaven's Name

2) We met in a cafe, seems like yesterday

She took my breath away

What was I to do, it seemed all clear and true

I fell in love that day!

Chorus***

3) To Mexico she flew, without me she was blue

Lobotomized I grew!

On the 31rst of May

Euthanized away

Did I even have a say???

Isidro Flores agreed to sing at the the Celebration of Life party, a song Rob wrote about Debra and English was not his first language! Well done Isidro! And ironically, it is called "In Heaven's Name." Debra had to finish the song's story marking the tragic end of a real love story.

Rob's humour, similar to Bare Naked Ladies "If I Had a Million Dollars" as depicted in "She likes to talk to squirrels!" is only one of two songs that Debra actually remembers. The other six were recorded on an imperfect iphone and lost forever.

At the Celebration of Life Party, Sebastian sang the beautiful love song Sebastian recorded of his father's dedicated to his mother Called Arullo de Amor.

And Miki played Expanse, a composition he made and dubbed his late mother's voice reciting their favourite poem on top.... Anything is possible these days!

Debra, Dance With Me, by Rob Barber, vocals by Sebastian Maciel, keyboard, Debra Breeze

Muchisimas gracias Sebastian para tu voz carinosa en esta cancione!

The couple danced this waltz in her kitchen.

The Book of Love, Peter Gabriel version/kareoke, vocals by Debra Breeze, arranged by Sebastian Maciel

The couple performed this song for each other as birthday presents. Rob would be very happy with this version!

If You Ever Left Me, 2019

As flattering as this was, Debra knew Rob was relying too much on her (a third party) for his inner happiness. It was the hardest decision she ever made in her life.

Ledges and Perches, Lyrics by Debra Breeze & Music by Robert Barber, Arrangement, Nino Palazollo, 2018

Debra was extremely ill during this time so Rob's love was vital to her healing.

Love is Everything by Jane Siberry, vocals Debra Breeze, arrangement, Nino Palazollo, 2021

A heartfelt convincing of joining Debra in Costa Rica as she knew Canada was doomed, but it was in vain...

The Wolf Song, lyrics by Debra Breeze, interpreted by Nino Palazollo on guitar, 2021

Intended for Debra's Soul Family. Her clan is growing as like minded souls find each other in 2025. There is a thunderous necessity for a pack!

Songbird, Fleetwood Mac, 1975

A message to listen to this song came through loud and clear on the day Debra discovered Rob had passed away. Again the words are poignant.

The album cover depicts the pink flamingo Debra called in, telling her Rob had crossed over and it was beautiful. Rob loved birds. They are the closest species to Heaven!

Love and Affection, by Joan Armatrading

A favourite in the late 80's! Debra's art mentor and dear friend, Laura Browne from London, Ontario adored this song so much they must have played it 30 times one weekend! In their mid 20's wondering where all the nice guys were, teaching together in Exeter, a small farming town that was so boring, Laura convinced Debra to go sky-diving for some excitement! Thirty years later, Laura brought a delicate glass candle hanger as a gift to her tiny house on the lake. Rob took the photo as he almost lived with Debra for only three short years. Debra feels so blessed to be surrounded, mentored and loved by unique souls like Laura and Rob. Laura is an example of the Divine Feminine. In fact, Perpetua, goddess of Authenticity! Years later, Debra still asks herself, where all the nice guys like Rob are???
